YOBO Videos is the new generation of entertainment

 

This blogpost is all about Video based entertainment.  YOBO (Your Own Box Office) is a website at yobovideos.in at which creators of videos can upload their videos, specify a price for viewing their video and start making money from the first view, without barriers.  Users watch such a video paying the specified price from their YOBO Wallet, paying only for what they watch.  The users enjoy the next generation experience of watching videos from a well defined catalog without the clutter that one typically sees in YouTube.  Each video on YOBO has been approved by the YOBO admin, based on the quality and relevance. So, while in a place like YouTube which is a social networking site, you can find millions and millions of videos with no admission control, in the case of YOBO, you have a well defined catalog set of videos, perhaps, all of them being relevant to the YOBO users.

YOBO admins seek out videos of a certain type based on what the YOBO userbase wants to see.  Sometimes, YOBO itself creates content under the YOBO Originals banner.  Still early days and, YOBO is maturing both in terms of content acquisition and usage.  Users should make it what it can be for them.  Creators are invited to look at the catalog on YOBO and upload into specific categories.  Plays, Short films, History, Religion, Vedas, Sanskrit, How to, Educational videos, Biographies of great people, Home remedies, recipes, etc., are most welcome. Make sure the video belongs to you when you upload.  Please assign a price that you think people are willing to pay for your video.  The system itself has an algorithm to increase/decrease the price over time based on the demand and rating.  Please do rate the videos after you watch it, and your credibility is factored in your contribution to the overall rating.  Your credibility is weighted in computing your loyalty points as well.  So, credibility is important and it increases it if your rating is the same as the rating of the overall box office.  

When you upload a video, either you can create a series and insert this video as part of the series or upload the video as a solo video.  While viewing, people can either go to watch series or watch video to view the videos in a series or view solo videos.  Users can go to the drop down under their name on the top right of the screen for user details, etc.  Under User Account, they can check their wallet balance, add money to their wallet securely (we use Razorpay payment gateway), or look at the log of their activities, etc.
